Photo Album: Chimney and Slope Repaired on Tahoe City's Dollar House

Madole Construction Co. repaired the chimney and slope that were failing on the historic Dollar house in Tahoe City, Ca.  Located on the west side of Lake Tahoe The slope was failing and chimney had begun falling away from the house.  Foundation for the chimney was stabilized using micropiles and the slope was tied  back using soil nails and shotcrete.  Access was a challenge at this site concrete for the shotcrete slope stabilization was trucked from over 2 hours away.  After the structural wall was installed, and architectural finish was applied to face allowing the wall to blend in with the embankement and the exisiting chimney.
