Madole Construction Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to Build Beds for Kids in Need
On Saturday, November 23rd, Madole Construction had the privilege of joining forces with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Reno (SHP) for a community build day that was nothing short of amazing. We were thrilled by the incredible turnout of volunteers who came together to make a real difference in the lives of local children.
What is Sleep in Heavenly Peace?
For those unfamiliar, Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a non-profit organization with a mission to ensure that no child sleeps on the floor. They do this by building and delivering beds to children in need, with the goal of improving their health and well-being. SHP hosts volunteer-led "build days," where community members gather to assemble beds that are then delivered to families who need them most. When Madole Construction owner, Sean Madole, heard about this opportunity, he knew he wanted to be involved. He recognized that there was a problem—children in our community who didn’t have a bed—and saw that there was something that could be done to help fix it. His belief in making a real impact in our community inspired the entire team to step up and get involved.
A Remarkable Turnout
Despite the cold and rainy weather on the day of the event, we were blown away by the turnout. A total of 50 incredible volunteers showed up, ready to lend a hand and make a difference. Their energy, enthusiasm, and generosity were truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their time and effort.
Together, we built 72 beds, providing children in our community with a comfortable and secure place to sleep. The day was filled with teamwork, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to a cause that will have a lasting impact.
Community Impact
At Madole Construction, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Volunteering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace gave us the opportunity to do more than just build beds—we were able to make a tangible difference in the lives of local families. It was truly moving to see how something as simple as a bed can change the lives of children who have never had one of their own. We’re deeply thankful to everyone who came out to help. It’s thanks to your generosity and hard work that this event was such a success.
Looking Ahead: Bed Deliveries Begin December 14th
Our work with Sleep in Heavenly Peace is just getting started! Our first bed delivery is scheduled for December 14th, and we can’t wait to see the joy on the faces of the children and families who will receive their new beds. This is only the beginning—there will be more build days and deliveries in the months ahead, and we’re excited to continue working alongside SHP to ensure that no child sleeps on the floor.
Join Us in Building a Better Future
After entering into this partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we encourage everyone in the community to get involved. Whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word, every effort counts in making a difference for children in need. Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s keep building a brighter future, one bed at a time.
