Cell Tower Foundation Upgrade in McFarland, Ca

Madole Construction installed 15 Micropiles on this 150 foot tall tower to strenghten the foundation.  Micropiles were installed to a depth of 20' below grade and added an additional 825,000lbs of Foundation Support.  That is equivalent to the weight of a 747 Jumbo Jet.  What made this particularly tricky was that all of the equipment to install these had to be carried by hand under the tower and there were very serious obstructions and interferences.  In many places equipment had to fit through openings less than 24inches wide and less than 6'high.
