Sean Madole Owner
Sean began working in the construction industry as a teenager for his father Ray. After graduating high school he attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated with a BS in Management.
Upon graduation he served on Active Duty in the Air Force as an Acquisition Manager.
In 2003, Sean returned to Reno and worked as a project manager for Valley Hoe Excavators until it closed in 2010. And in 2013, he acquired Madole Construction from his uncle Ken Newberry.
Sean is excited to continue the company's growth and see what the future holds!
John Madole Sr. formed Madole Construction in the mid 1970s as a general building and remodeling contractor. Ray Madole and Ken Newberry both worked in the company and had many successful projects including the original remodel of PJ&Co Restaurant on South Wells in Reno. This location is still one of the most popular breakfast and lunch restaurants in the Reno market. Ownership passed to Ken Newberry in the early 1980s and Ken continued to prosper with commercial tenant improvement and home building. Ken solidified the company's reputation for innovation, reliability and creativity. In September 2013, ownership transferred to Sean Madole (Ray's Son). At this time some of the emphasis changed to underpinning, foundation repair and structural rehabilitation.
In the last year we have completed some interesting projects including the retrofit of the historic building that houses the COD Casino in Minden, work on the University of Nevada campus fixing a diversion dam, and underpinning work at the Ritz Carlton Highlands Hotel at Northstar. These are just some of the projects we have undertaken, and we look forward to completing many more!
Here at Madole Construction, we believe in participating in the community that has given so much to us over the years. We have provided repairs to the utility systems and exterior of the South Valley Volunteer Fire Department building in Washoe Valley. Outside of work, our employees have children involved in youth sports, Little League, and high school football. Sean's wife Michelle organizes the team dinners for the high school football team and we participate in fundraising as members of the booster club. We enjoy the time we spend with our friends and neighbors in all ways possible!
